Funding Resources & Expectations

The SAC Funding Rounds process (formerly Contingency) is a series of scheduled windows during the school year when the Student Allocations Commission (SAC) accepts and reviews funding requests from student groups.

Each funding round has four key dates: an open date (when groups can begin submitting requests), a close date (the submission deadline), an allocation notification date (when groups will hear SAC’s decision), and an event start date (the earliest event date that round’s funding can cover).

2026-27 Payment Request Form (PRF): Submit this form to work with your Financial Coordinator on spending your allocation. Submitting a request does not approve it. Your FC must approve every purchase before incurring an expense.

SAC funds and support over 550 student groups at Penn.

Our mission? To improve the state of student organizations at Penn and represent their interests to the Undergraduate Assembly. As one of the six branches of Penn Student Government, SAC also strives to represent student groups on campus to the Penn Administration.
